Let's take a break from gorgeous New Zealand and contemplate something almost equally lovely.
Shoes.
For the most part, I don't advise buying shoes from New Zealand as prices there are staggeringly high. However, when they go on sale, they go on SALE.
This pair of pewter leather lovelies from US brand Seychelles only cost NZD50 - discounted from NZD250. Amazing huh? The shop, Heavenly Soles located in Parnell Village, Auckland.
Seychelles gives each shoe style a name, and these are called "Theme Song". They are also, despite the high heels, very comfy... ^_^
Another great find is this leather pair of mary janes by Pulp which I scored for NZD6. YES, 6!! While most op shops / thrift shops in Auckland are horribly overpriced (although if you're into designers some pieces could be really worth it), Finders Keepers was having a sale (the fact that a thrift store needs to go on sale should tell you something) and these were there, in my size, just waiting for me.
I love the stitch detailing on the punk-goth inspired outline. It's so reminiscent of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. So tempting to get a pair of stripey knee high socks...
