The RM49.90 pair of Uniqlo Jeans

I finally visited Uniqlo on Saturday (Nov 27) when I happened to be in the area and I quite like the place. No it's not crazy cheap, but they have great opening deals and the quality is excellent. I wandered back and forth and everywhere I kept seeing these jeans for RM49.90. Now I'm a total sucker for cheap jeans - I seldom pay full price and generally buy whenever I spot a good deal. I found them comfy and I love that they're "mid rise" not low-slung so my muffin tops are in check!

Yep, I went all Jeans ad for this one.

Only thing is Uniqlo, like most Asian brands, don't believe their customers have a butt. So I had to buy it in Size 25 and cinch in the slightly (it really isn't that bad) too large waist with a belt. Still it is among the better fitting, more comfortable jeans I've had as it has some give and stretch and isn't too stiff.

Updated for Alex:
Top: Amore Boutique, Uptown (RM24)
Belt: Vintage, inherited from mom
Boots: H&M Denmark (DKK150 / GBP15 after massive discount)

So, will you be getting a pair?

Thanks for posting the pics up so quickly! I'm on the hunt for new jeans - as you know, most of my current clothes don't fit me anymore - so I think a trip to Uniqlo is in order soon. Any idea how long the RM49.90 offer will be?

These jeans really suit you. I've got some similar ones from the UK website - UNIQLO is always my first stop when it comes to jeans as they are, like you said high quality and cheap :)

The jeans look great! Will pass though as I have a decidedly Dusun butt.

Delurking to say hello and to compliment on the jeans! They look good.

I have the same problem with the fit around my waist with nearly every single pair of jeans I own. Decided to alter the waist myself with my sewing machine. :P

Thanks Charlie! Good to know they won't fall apart and disintegrate on me. =P

Eli: Is your butt 10" bigger around than your waist? Mine is...unless its more you can wear the jeans too what.

Anne: Hurrah my jeans have lured you out of lurkdome. How do you alter the waistbands of jeans? I've never been able to.

Alterations are done by inserting two darts at the front of the jeans and another two at the back of the jeans. You do need a sewing machine with a powerful motor to be able to sew through jeans, depending on how thick the material is. When you are as small, i.e. petite as I am and living in the land of the giants (CPH), a good sewing machine is needed. It is so rare to find a pair of jeans that fit well and do not cost a bundle.

*hand over heart* My butt is over 10" bigger than my waist. There's a reason why my ex-seamstress mother describes my body shape as "Asian upwards and European downwards".

Ooh Anne! Du er i København? Jeg savner denne by! (Sorry if my Danish isn't the most grammatical. It's limited, basic and of course, seldom used). Thanks so much for the advice since labour here is affordable I may take a pair to the seamstress. ^_^

Eli: Hahah well, maybe you should take Anne's lovely tip!

Tee hee hee ... Your Danish is alright. I doubt you would miss Copenhagen right now. Too cold!

You sgould check out the little tailor shops at Pertama Complex. I used to go there to get my jeans altered. There is a very sweet Indonesuan couple who have their own alteration shop. Good service and very reasonably priced. I must ask my mom which floor the shop is located.
