So far the best idea I have to maximise this space is to use these clear shoe-box drawers from Ikea:
I've spotted them here and they're about RM39 for 4 boxes.
Anyone have a suggestion?

i have something similar like that from daiso the curve, with a lid me thinks. it's clear.
and omg, your shoes are gorgeous! and you arrange them in colours! noticed you have mostly peep toes and mary janes too! :P
Hahah, same here! I have way too many pairs of shoes, but I rarely wear them. Which is not good since I'm not getting my full cost-per-wear out of them. :)

another friend who has tonnes of shoes used to have a storeroom :P
Plue: I want drawers so I can stack them up and maximise space. And nah I arranged them in colours for the photoshoot. Cannot resist!

Hee, I just got a new shoe cupboard meself. The old shoe rack was overflowing and vomiting shoes. After arranging the shoes, I discovered my father and I have the same number of shoes. Hmm.

One of these days when my parents are away, I'll arrange ALL my shoes on the stairs and take a snapshot...
HAHAHAH... you just realised, did you? LOL. Buy your own shoe cabinet, and put it in the extra room downstairs. Another idea is what I saw a friend do. Keep them in shoe their boxes, with a photo of the shoes stapled to the shoe box. She had two neat piles standing nearly as tall as her. There were like what.. 40 pairs? It's an idea..
Syen: My dad will STRANGLE me if I put more furniture in the house - particularly for shoes. =P Also, if the boxes don't have drawers I know i'll be too darned lazy to stack and restack...
