Gin & Jacqui is an online bag shop after my own heart. Just read why she started it:
"Gin & Jacqie™ is a line of bags created by avid traveller and reluctant girl-on-the-go Jacqueline Ng. In her search for functional everyday bags that are practical and stylish but do not cost a bomb; Jacqie discovered a niche in the market and decided to develop her own line of such bags. In a fast paced world where trends come and go, Gin & Jacqie™ is all about high functionality and performance without sacrificing style or quality. The core focus of the brand is well-made bags that are beautiful and appropriate be carried in any setting, be it the office, the mall or the resort, whatever your inclination. The line focuses on classic shapes are complemented by an array of gorgeous fabrics and innovative detailing. Gin & Jacqie™ bags are made to be timeless and evergreen, to be as relevant today as they will be tomorrow."Functional - check!
Stylish - check!
Gorgeous fabrics - check!
And she doesn't say it... but lots and LOTS of pocketses. Happy me!
Now I wish she'd develop her line of office bags (bag?) to include something classic, non-shiny and full of pocketses.
Here are some of my picks:
Laptop Bag - Sassy Anish (RM179)
Bag organiser - Reverse Me Organise Jacq (RM50.50)
And what did I spend on for myself? The Stylish Carrie overnight / laptop bag which would be great as a carry-on bag or for short trips. Also it was on sale from RM229 to RM113.90 and comes with a removable laptop sleeve. =D
I haven't used it yet but so far I can say it's as cute as the picture, very lightweight well-made and durable.
Gin & Jaqui's prices aren't the lowest, but for the quality and thoughtful design I'm all for encouraging her to continue! We need more stores like this in Malaysia.

I love Gin & Jacqie - took me a while before I got one, for someone else as a gift! I am heading over to the site right now to get myself one!
They have some things on discount! =D
I like their stuff very much too! Practical and very high quality! I have two of their bags (one photobag which is now discontinued and the Joanna travel set) and can really handle daily abuse without showing their age. Very good quality compared to other local brands out there, which aren't cheap as well!
Thanks Foon Jin, can't wait to road test mine. =D
