You know one of those strange, pressing, consuming desires you feel every once in a while? Much as I have tried to quell it, I've been thinking about this baby for over two months now, and they're probably not in stores anymore (I dare not check lest I crack) but by George, I still want it so bad!

But of all things, a beret?! Of sequins?!

First of all, it's Malaysia--I don't need to retain any body heat, I need to lose it. And most people think people who wear hats here (except caps, snore) are barmy--and hats have the tendency to make my forehead itch.

Next, even if I could go somewhere with a cooler climate, what point would it have except to make my head stand out wildly in a sea of boring knit beanies?! (Actually, that's a pretty good reason...but I digress).

And at RM99 (or thereabouts), it is completely not worth the moulah.
