Treasure: Peter Rabbit Dress

I was thrilled beyond words when I found this dress sitting in the two-for-RM10 rack. Straight out of an English fairytale, this dress makes me want to hop in a boat and row to an island for a picnic, or don a white apron and scamper down a rabbit hole to find Wonderland. Another friend suggested ruby red slippers and a dog named Toto.

Sorry the picture isn't brilliant. It was taken via timer in my garden. Yes that overgrown mini-jungle is the garden my dotty parents have created.

So why is it the Peter Rabbit dress? Because that's the brand! I love the mother of pearl buttons and the delicately scalloped collar.

And there's Peter Rabbit himself! One day Mel and I will organise a Beatrix Potter party. We'll watch the movie, I'll wear the Peter Rabbit dress and she'll come as Jemima Puddleduck. ;)

Dress (Peter Rabbit): Vintage - RM5
Shoes: Nine West (RM160 on 60% discount)

That dress is too cute! But I am a sucker for all things Beatrice Potter. Now, if you find something Hunca Munca...

I think all you need in this photo is my bunny sitting by your feet =D

:O Is the dress adult size? I always thought Peter Rabbit didn't make more than toddler stuff.

Eli: What on earth is hunca munca? I just got a frilly apron btw, now to bake a pie and get someone to take pics!

Sush86: she has a pink shirt with a pussy bow that a kid once said made her look as Jemima Puddleduck. ^_^

Rey: Ooh can we put your bunny in a waistcoat and give him a pocket watch? =P I should HOPE the dress is adult sized because I'm not toddler-sized! LOL!

Who is Hunca Munca, you mean. She's a character from "A Tale of Two Bad Mice" - the first Beatrice Potter book I ever had - and towards the end, she wears a pretty purple dress with a frilly apron.
